Where are we going?

Sprawling cities of titanic edifices

Transports moving at lightning paces

Unusual gadgets to spice up work spaces

Life’s easy with monetary graces

Reduced times for regular chores

Has increased the numbers in our schedule to score

Resulted in failure of logic, marriage and more

Rendered the hearts decrepit and sore

Why am I lonely even in a crowd?

Can’t even talk to my neighbor out loud

Hidden are my smiles behind the shroud

I’m shrinking; I’m falling to a nebulous cloud

There in lies the Power of Divinity
when calamity strike and times turn
the strength to hold the peace and parity
for elevation of souls to love and learn

When bellies are full and composure still
everyone's a saint preaching on the hill
but the flaming test of times withered
elevates the golden hearts that cared
